EXCOR Pediatric Workshop at Cardiology in the Young Conference: 20 – 22 April 2009 in London
The next EXCOR® Pediatric Workshop will be taking place from 20 – 22 April 2009 as part of the Cardiology in the Young Conference in London.
The workshop is spread over three days and provides a comprehensive overview on the application of the EXCOR Pediatric ventricular assist device.
The presentations and hands on exercises will be held by experts from the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children and by Berlin Heart’s Clinical Affairs specialists.
The main topics are:
- Implantation
- ICU care
- Anticoagulation
- Long-term care
- Hands on exercises

Another EXCOR Pediatric workshop is planned for 21 May 2009 as part of the 1st European Conference on Pediatric and Neonatal Cardiac Intensive Care in Montreux, Switzerland.
EXCOR is currently under clinical investigation for pediatric use in USA.
