GLUETISS® is a biologically based two-component adhesive comprising two solutions in ready-to-use applicators:
Glue component = gelatine-resorcinol solution
Hardening component = aqueous glutardialdehyde/ glyoxal solution

GLUETISS® requires little effort and preparation and is a reliable, high-quality product.

GLUETISS® components have been specially chosen to ensure that adhesive ability, tolerance and absorbability of the polymerised adhesive substances are optimally adapted to the patient's needs.

A positive and problem-free healing process was achieved with no definite morphological changes as the result of the use of the glue.

Simple and fast

+ easy to apply
+ can be applied directly with ready-to-use sterile applicators
+ does not require prior heating
+ can be stored without refrigeration

Safe and reliable

+ optimized consistency, high initial and final adhesive strength
+ tissue stabilises and heals quickly
+ no leaky sutures and post-surgical bleeding
+ high shear and tensile strength
+ creates permanent and flexible tissue bond
+ complete absorption by the body within six weeks, depending on the amount used
+ tested over many years (in clinical use since 1992)
+ contains no formaldehydes

Application of the glue

1. The adhesive solution is applied as thinly as possible to both of the dry surfaces to be glued, creating a fine adhesive film. This procedure can be carried out without hurry.

2. The hardener is then applied selectively in drops to one side only. Two to three drops (0.05 - 0.1 ml) are sufficient to polymerise 1 ml of the glue.
3. The two components are then mixed together briefly using cannulas.
4. The surfaces to be bonded must now be pressed together immediately, and pressure must be applied as evenly and over as large an area as possible for approx. 1 minute.
5. After approx. 2 minutes polymerisation is more or less complete and a sufficient strength is achieved. Compression clamps specially developed for this purpose can be used to press the surfaces together.
