The LVAD INCOR®consists of the implantable pump and the various external components.

The percutaneous pump cable connects the pump with the controller.

The control unit monitors and controls the entire system. Connected to the control unit are the main and the reserve batteries, which supply the system with electricity.

What else makes up an INCOR® system?

  • A power supply, which can be connected if required
  • A charging unit which is able to recharge the batteries
  • A laptop with a monitor programme, which can be connected to the control unit, if required.
  • Control unit, main and back up battery are carried in the shoulder bag, which enables a safe keeping and transport of these components. A pelvis belt which is also attached to the bag ensures further safety. Another bag which is also attached bears the back up controller. The shoulder bag can be opened sideways and thus enables the easy connection and disconnection of the laptop and supply cable.

The pump is started, controlled and adjusted through the laptop with installed monitor program, which delivers data regarding the condition and operation of the implant and detailed information about all occurrences and malfunctions.
