The LVAD INCOR®consists of the implantable pump and the various external components.
The percutaneous pump cable connects the pump with the controller.
The
control unit monitors and controls the entire system. Connected to
the control unit are the main and the reserve batteries, which
supply the system with electricity.

Control
unit, main and back up battery are carried in the shoulder bag, which
enables a safe keeping and transport of these components. A pelvis belt
which is also attached to the bag ensures further safety. Another bag
which is also attached bears the back up controller. The shoulder bag
can be opened sideways and thus enables the easy connection and
disconnection of the laptop and supply cable.
The pump is started, controlled and
adjusted through the laptop with installed monitor program, which
delivers data regarding the condition and operation of the implant and
detailed information about all occurrences and malfunctions.
