INCOR® is a left ventricle assist device, meaning the assistance of the pumping function of the left ventricle which is responsible for the blood circulation of the body. The actual blood pump is implanted near the heart.

Besides the implantable pump, the INCOR® system consists of an external control unit and two rechargeable batteries, which allow the patient nearly unlimited mobility. Other external components are a laptop, which starts, controls and adjusts the pump, a power supply and a charging unit.
